2 Weeks

Lyndon hit the two week mark this past Sunday. I would not have ever thought that so much could change in that much time. He has already changed a whole lot. He is just so funny sometimes, or I guess the things he does not on purpose sometimes. This kid hiccups all the time. I think that it is so hilarious. Just this high pitched hiccup...so funny. Ever since we came home from the hospital everyone has said he is really active and alert. The nurses were really amazed while doing the tests after birth. He does not like his hands being wrapped in with the blanket or any kind of restraint of the arms. He is always moving them and grabbing. His hands always are covering his face. While he sleeps his arms are always stretched above his head. So so funny I think. Not sure if you can tell, but his face sure is filling in. From one week to two weeks he gained 1lb. 2 oz. and grew a centimeter. Just thought I would put in the height just because we were told it. Feeding I guess is his favorite time.

Not sure if you were thinking of why do we have a hospital bed in our room, but I just thought I would clarify that we do not have one in our room. I think it would be cool though. We all missed the hospital so much these past two weeks that we thought we would visit it for another weekend. Lindsay's cut from her c-section ended up getting so infected that her doctor ordered her to admit herself the hospital immediately. They ended up opening the cut again so it could drain better and also so gauze and some other crap can get crammed in to help the oozing and the infection. We went in Friday and just got out about an hour ago. We are all so excited to be home. We are not planning any other exciting visits to the hospital. She is still needing the stuffing of the cut, so everyday people are coming to clean it all up. Lets hope that everything clears up.

This past week Lyndon had his first trip to the temple. Our moms wanted to see the Mesa temple and it also gave us a chance to get some great family pic's. Lyndon was so great he was asleep the entire time. We are so blessed to have him in our lives, I love our little family. We also went into the visitor center where all the sister missionaries gathered around our little guy(already charming the ladies) I will have to get the picture from Jill it was so cute!

One Week

Lyndon's first Sunday

Today is one week since Lyndon was born. We went to church today, but only for sacrament meeting. Lindsay just needed to get out. Plus I think she wanted to show off our little cutie. Lindsay was excited to get him dressed in his church outfit.

I was a little nervous in wondering when he was going to wake up. With all the singing and the other kids making noises I totally thought he was going to get woken up. The little guy did well and slept all the way through. If only we can get him to sleep during 2am -6am. That would be a lot better. Lindsay would probably appreciate as well.

He has survived one week. I guess we are alright parents:)

Lyndon Tyler Pickup

BABY LYNDON

Well, he is finally here. After being 9 days late at first, then going through 3 days of labor with only 1 centimeter of dialating, and finally the genius decision for a C section. Lindsay has gone through the worse of things. All those pains, tests, and restless slow days turning into nights has come to an end. We are so happy to have our beautiful baby boy finally here.

This is our first family picture. Lindsay went under the knife for a C section. Lyndon was born September 14, 2008 at 10:57 pm weighing in at 8 lbs. 1 oz and 20 inches long. This was right after the surgery. Lindsay was stitched up and rolled into the recovery room. At this moment the feeling I had was the most overwhelming and happy time in my life. WE ARE A FAMILY! I am a DADDY! I am so lucky to have a wife and a baby boy now. I love them so much!! It is hard to hold back the water forming in my eyes wanting to be tears and the swelling and pounding in my chest. I am a man you know...we are not suppose to cry. They are worth more than anything to me. We are so lucky to be blessed with this baby boy.

Mom's to the rescue. Grandma Jill and Nana came down to help out. They sure did help too. Standing with Lindsay and I during everyday at the hospital, through every decision, and the extremely cold days. We truly do love and appreciate them. Mothers are the greatest!!!

One proud mother. Finally doing what she has always wanted and has waited forever to do. Lindsay is a loving and caring wife. She will be ten times a better mother. I love you both!

Last Pregnant belly pic's

Well, these two pictures should be the last two you should see of my VERY pregnant belly. Can you believe they were only taken about two weeks apart . WOW, ty keeps saying that my stomach looks bigger everyday:) Thanks hun! I guess I can't really disagree with him somedays I can hardly breathe. Our doctor thought that Lyndon was going to be big so we had an ultrasound yesterday. We found out that he is at least 9 lbs. 2oz or more, and even thought they said they can be off by 10% they did reassure us in our case if they are off it that he is bigger not smaller. Luckily, we are getting induced (YEAH!) this friday at 10 am. Both of our moms are coming down tommorow night to be with us and we are so excited to see them and thankful that they are going to be helping us out. So, that's what's going on with us we have one more day and hopefully my labor will go well and we will be putting pictures up of our little boy soon enough!

Still Prego!

STILL PREGNANT!
Well, my due date has come and gone and still no Lyndon. We are shocked! For the last month and I have been going to the doctors every week and nothing has really progressed at all. However, after a lot of contractions last friday I thought for sure that something, ANYTHING had changed:)haha Nope, nothing. I went to the doctors yesterday and he said Lyndon is perfectly fine, just really content staying with his mommy. Which would be fine except the doctor also said he is going to be a BIG boy they are guessing around 9 POUNDS! So needless to say I am a little worried. I have now packed a second, bigger take home outfit just in case he won't fit in the newborn clothes. When we asked the doctor what we can do he really didn't have a lot of suggestions just the usual walk etc. which we have been doing already if fact we walked the mall TWICE yesterday! We are so excited to see our little guy that these next couple of days are really going to be hard. I have a non-stress on monday, and a doctors appointmant tuesday to decide where we are going to go from there, and then hopefully soon we will be able to finally see our little(well sort of little) guy !!
